MARITIME EXPERT VISITS MEMBERS OF APGA SWC, INFORMS THEM OF HIS READINESS TO REPRESENT AWKA NORTH AND SOUTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
Foremost APGA aspirant for Awka North and South Federal Constituency, and certified Maritime Expert, High Chief Dr Azubuike Ekweozor, (Ide Umuawulu Nwanayoeze), has notified the party’s State Working Committee, SWC, of his intention to vie for the aforementioned political office come 2023.
The well celebrated philanthropist, made this known, yesterday, at the party’s State Headquarters, Awka, where he and his entourage, were warmly received by APGA State Chairman, Chief Sir Norbert Obi and other members of the SWC.
Making a formal introduction of the frontline aspirant, the ward Chairman of Ide Umuawulu, Chief Joseph Nwafor, described him as staunch party man who has made enormous input to the progress of APGA, from his immediate Community of Umuawulu, and extending to the Local Government and State.
Intimating the State Working Committee of his desire to be the true mouth piece of his constituents at the green chamber, the outspoken Dr Ekweozor, revealed that his unalloyed loyalty to APGA has remained completely total, as he has paid his dues and now ready to serve the people under a winning platform.
Ide Umuawulu stated that the party needs an aspirant with a winning mentality, credible source of income and who has a good record, to fly the flag of the party. He assured them that such aspirant was him, Ide Umuawulu.
“I am APGA in and out, the ideals of the party are well rooted inside me and as a good ambassador of the party, we will not disappoint if I am found worthy to fly the party’s flag”, he reassured.
“It is a rescue mission in Àwka North and South, as I intend to break new grounds by lobbying for projects that has direct impact on the lives of our people”, he concluded.
In their separate speeches, Awka South LG Party Chairman ,Hon Chikodili Nnonyelu; Deputy Chairman Anambra Central, Chief Tony Elee; Deputy Chairman, Anambra South, Barr Sam Mbakwe; all attested to Ide Umuawulu’s contribution to the affairs of the party and how his support have helped to improve the lot of party men and women.
Stating that Ide Umuawulu has every capacity to win the general election for the party, they assured him of the party’s pledge for a free and fair primaries, as they hope that APGA delegates will give him bulk votes.
Conclusively, the State Chairman, stated that Ide Umuawulu, as a good ambassador of the party and having supported it financially and otherwise, is eminently qualified. He, however, revealed that APGA will be giving all aspirants equal opportunity in a primary that will be free and fair and whoever emerges will get the support of the party.
