LaLiga: Barcelona to sue Atletico Madrid over Griezmann transfer
Barcelona could drag Atletico Madrid to court over dispute between the LaLiga clubs on the terms of forward Antoine Griezmann’s loan deal.
Griezmann joined Atletico Madrid on loan from Barcelona last year and has continued to play for them this season.
The France international is believed to have a cordial relationship with Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone after scoring 133 goals in 257 matches in his first spell at Los Colchoneros.
According to Marca, Atletico Madrid can expect legal action over Griezmann’s deal, as Barcelona feel that the player has met the ‘£35 million’ buyout clause in his contract by playing over 50% of the minutes he was available last season.
