Lagos Police yields To The Pressure For Memorial EndSARS Protest To Be Held.

The Lagos State Police has yielded to the pressure from Nigerian youths to hold memorial EndSARS protest in remembrance of those presumably killed during the initial protest last year.

The Police who earlier stated that the protest will not not allowed to be held, made a U-turn on their earlier stance by stating that the citizens have the right to protest under the law.

“If you want to protest, it is your right under the law, ” the police said.

However, it warned that obstructing the traffic in the process is illegal.

“You don’t have to block the road because, in the process of obstructing the road, you are no longer protesting for a better life for people,” said the police.
