Labour Party Kano guber candidate debunks joining APC

Engr. Bashir I. Bashir, governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Kano State, says he’s still a bonafide member of the bourgeoning party.

Bashir said this in reaction to claims that he has dumped the party and returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Engr. Muazu Magaji, a former Works Commissioner in the government of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje in Kano State, had circulated on his Facebook page, that he, Bashir and some others had returned to the APC.

However, in a quick reaction to the speculation, Bashir said, “Muazu Magaji is nothing but a confused person who cannot define exactly what he wants in his life.”

In an interview with Daily Post, Bashir said that the same Muazu Magaji was detained some time ago for lying against Ganduje, who had appointed him to several positions, including a State Commissioner.

He said, “the picture circulated by Muazu Magaji was one taken two years ago when alongside Jaafar Sani and two other persons under the umbrella of Kano non-partisan group were searching for a way out in thier political lives and the future of the state.”

“Just yesterday, I spent two hours doing teleconference with the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates of our party, discussing modalities on how to win, not only Kano, but the entire North; how can somebody from nowhere lie against me?” he queried.
