Kanu’s trial: Courts Adjourns Case.
Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja Federal High Court has adjourned the trial of Nnamdi Kanu till October 21.
This came after the Judge refused to resume the trial in the absence Nnamdi Kanu in the court.
Reports have it that when the case was called around 11:10am, after the counsels representing parties to the matter, the lead counsel to the prosecution, Mr. M. B Abubakar, informed the court that the case is for hearing, although the Department of state Security Service was yet to produce the defendant whom they have in their custody.
He however requested the mind of the court to proceed without fiat considering the situation that the court has commenced on vacation.
In response, the trial Judge held that the trial cannot continue in the absence of Kanu who has been repatriated to the country.
