‘It’s Been 48 Hours, Do Something’ – Singer Joeboy Dares Senior Colleague, Asa

Nigerian singer, Joseph Akinwale, professionally known as Joeboy, has dared his senior colleague, Asa over the N300 million copyright infringement notice slammed on him.

Naija News reports that this is coming barely two months after Joeboy premiered his song of the year, titled ‘Contour’ which was produced, by popular beatmaker, Tempoe. Following the release of the track, veteran singer, Asa served him a notice  stating that the song ‘Contour’ infringed on the copyright of her musical composition. As stated in the letter, Contour infringed on the copyright of a musical composition that was created by Asa in a recording session that took place on the 22nd of September, 2022 with producer, Tempoe in attendance. Reacting to this, Joeboy took to his Instagram page on Tuesday to share the letter and called Asa’s notice a bluff. He stated that it is over 48 hours since the singer had threatened to take legal action against him and she is yet to do anything. He wrote: “Cos U dey always do love and light and you think sey I be soft meat. You said I have 24 hours, it’s been 48 hours, do something.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian actor and producer, popularly known for his roles in Yankee Hustle, Deyemi Okanlawon has revealed how his wife came to his rescue over a recent financial dilemma. Okanlawon, via his verified Twitter handle on Monday, opened up about the kind gesture he received from his wife. According to the father of two, he summoned the courage to tell his wife that he was low on cash, and rather than make a big deal from the revelation, his wife credited his account beyond his demands.

Sharing his wife’s gesture, he wrote: ”Last night I finally told babe how low my cash flow was and how I still had plenty pending commitments…. na so I wake up this morning see credit alert wey pass my problem.”
