Iniubong Murderer Pleads Guilty.

The prime suspect in the murder of the young University of Uyo graduate, Iniubong Umoren, Oduak Akpan has pleaded guilty to the crime.

Oduak who was arraigned before a State High Court Judge in Uyo, confessed to the murder, but refuted the allegation that he raped her.

Oduak’s father was also arraigned together with him.

Recall that the news of the murder of Iniobong spread through the media about a few month ago, after her friend had raised an alarm about the distress call she had received from her.

The outrage generated by this propelled the security forces to sweep into action to unravel those behind the murder.

In the process, Oduak was arrested, after which he took the security men to the site where he buried the deceased in a shallow grave.

The court adjourned to August 18 for the continuation of hearing.
