INEC Gave Rotimi Akeredolu Certificate Of Return

The governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu has recieved the certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

the Governor received the certificate from INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Rufus Akeju on Tuesday at the INEC headquarters in Akure, Ondo state capital.

Recall that Rotimi Akeredolu candidate of the All progressive Congress(APC), won the October 10 Governorship Election in Ondo state. The election featured Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP and 13 others from different political parties.

Akeredolu had polled 292,830 votes while his closest rivalry Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic party polled 195,791 votes, his former deputy Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labor Party polled 69,127. [You can view the result here]

Akeredolu while receiving the Certificate of Return at the INEC headquarters commended the security agencies for maintaining peace and ensuring a smooth election.

He also commended the independent National Electoral Commission INEC for their commitment towards ensuring a successful election.
