I”ll raise the bar in developmental facets of Ikwuano/Umuahia constituency through people’s oriented bills, motions—Emeka Ndubuisi

Ahead of 2023 National Assembly elections, former Special Adviser to Abia State Governor on Diaspora matters and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bahadur International Foundation Worldwide, Emeka Bahadur Ndubuisi, has announced his intention to run for the seat of Ikwuano/Umuahia federal Constituency of Abia State.
This is even as the frontline Abia politician and Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Houston chapter, United States of America (USA), assured of effective and responsive representation if given the opportunity to represent the federal Constituency at the Nigerian House of Representatives come 2023.
Emeka Bahadur Ndubuisi, who announced his intention in a statement made available to journalists in Umuahia, the Abia state capital on Thursday, hinted that his decision to vie for the House of Representatives seat was borne out of the Clarion calls and yearnings from constituents of IKwuano/Umuahia extraction for true representation that will foster great and bountiful socio-economic and Infrastructural development in the federal constituency.
The PDP chieftain noted that the federal Constituency is in dire need of genuine facelifts in all facets, assuring that when elected as member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia federal Constituency of the green chamber, he would through bills, motions and oversight functions attract meaningful and sensitive projects, and as well as initiate good programmes aimed at enhancing human and Infrastructural growth and development of the federal government.
Emeka Bahadur Ndubuisi who also doubles as Diaspora Director, Atiku Abubakar Support Organization, also assured that he would give concentration in attraction and implementation of programmes that foster youth, men and women empowerments, to enable them be self dependent and productive to meet up daily and basic family needs if given chance to occupy the exalted seat in the House of Representatives.
The Umuahia-born US trained Medical practitioner, further promised to liaise with any government at the national level in pursuing and attraction of FG sponsored Social Investment Developmental Programmes in Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency, and Abia state as a whole, to encourage Small and Medium Scale business in order to mitigate joblessness among populace from the area and entire state when chosen as the lawmaker representing the Constituency.
Emeka Ndubuisi who described constituents of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency as industrious and visionary people and also promised to enhance agricultural potentials and capacity of the three local government areas that formed the federal Constituency through the attraction of the provision of modern and mechanized farming equipments to enable them to boost food sufficiency and security of Abia state and Nigeria at large.
According to the House of Representatives hopeful in the statement that partly read, “Also, I joined United States Airforce where I served with diligence and honor. As an Airman, I received several awards and recognitions from within and outside the continental USA.
“I was endeared into politics by the need to bring government closer to the people, hence, my adventure into partisan politics between 2015 and 2019 with my appointment as the Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Diaspora Matters. During my tenure, I collaborated with the state government in conducting several town hall meetings in the diaspora, thereby fostering and strengthening the involvement of Abians in diaspora in politics and government.
“In 2018, I actualized a childhood dream by floating the Bahadur International Foundation – A Non Governmental organisation registered in Texas, United State of America and in Nigeria that has amongst many things, seen to the socio-economic upliftment of the youths, especially in the area of skills acquisition and empowerment”.
Continuing, the Abia Party Stalwart, also appreciated successive representatives of the federal Constituency at the green chamber, for bringing their best on the overwhelming clamor by the people, to achieve an economically and Infrastructurally stable Ikwuano/Umuahia, whereby the constituents will feel the positive impact of true democratic leadership, through benefiting and accessing basic social amenities for good.
Ndubuisi applauded the Peoples Democratic Party-led administration in Abia under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for demonstrating uncommon and exemplary Leadership that is worthy of emulation and further expressed immense joy that the present state government has raised the bar in development of critical facets of Abia economy.
He further used the medium to urge the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia bloc and the entire state, to remain steadfast in their support and cooperation to the government at all levels in the state for continuous dispensation of dividends of democracy.
“I must thank the Governor for his unwavering commitment to the growth of Abia. And I must also use this forum to urge citizens within and outside not relent in their prayers for a prosperous Abia, as the current government had laid solid foundation that have engendered great and impressive Infrastructural developments in every facet of God’s Own State”, he concluded.
