IGWE UYANWA OF UKWULU DEFIES GOV. OBIANO SUSPENSION ORGANIZES A BANQUET AS IGWE! – THE REASON WILL SHOCK YOU.

The Igwe of Ukwulu, H.R.H Igwe Peter Uyanwa has defied the suspension order of Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra state. De Erudite Communications has gathered that H.R.H Igwe Peter Uyanwa the traditional ruler of Ukwulu Kingdom recently organized a royal banquet in his capacity as Igwe of Ukwulu, a quiet community in Dunukofia L.G.A of Anambra state. In attendance is the foremost, quintessential and popular prince of Ukpo Kingdom, Prince Engr. Arthur Eze and some other royalties of Anambra state.

Recall that the governor has last week handed the embattled King of Ukwulu a One-year suspension order through the office of Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr. Greg Obi. The suspension which is subject to review after one year took effect from Friday, July 24th, 2020. The sources from the state government cited security reasons as the reason for the suspension.

The statement further directed Igwe Uyanwa to stop holding himself out as a traditional ruler and to cease from discharging traditional ruler’s function in Ukwulu community, or elsewhere in the state and beyond.

By this suspension, the statement concluded, Igwe Peter Uyanwa’s Chairmanship of Anambra Central Traditional Rulers Council, and membership of Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, and appointment in any other government committee are also rescinded.

Sources who spoke to our correspondent say Igwe Ukwulu’s Igweship certificate suspension may be as a result of security reasons and petitions to the state government over his conduct.
