I ran for my life- Igboho.

Popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has stated he ran out of Nigeria in a bid to protect and safeguard his life.

According to the statement by his lawyer, Igboho made this statement while responding to the allegation that he sneaked into Benin Republic with the main aim of committing heinous crimes, during the court hearing on Monday.

Igboho who appeared in Benin Republic court Monday was ordered to be transferred to prison upon his reluctance to mention those who accommodated him and drove him to the airport in the country.

However, the Lawyer expressed shock that the Nigerian government hasn’t filed a single case against Igboho.

It is worthy to recall that Sunday Igboho has been in the leading position of Yoruba secessionists clamouring for Oduduwa Republic.

He, however, fled from Nigeria after the Department of State Security Service raided his house and was subsequently captured in Benin Republic upon his attempt to travel to Germany.
