I am a Nigerian: Nnamdi Kanu cries.

The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, who was recently ‘rearrested’, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has talked from the other side of his mouth, renouncing Biafra, and declaring his Nigerian citizenship.

According to a popular social media political writer, Zara Onyinye, Kanu, while being tortured by members of the Department Of State Security- DSS, said; “take it easy on me. I am a Nigerian like you.”

Kanu has been known to be at the forefront of separatist clamour, in which he has, on many occasions, referred to Nigeria as “zoo”.

Before his “rearrest”, Kanu allegedly instructed his followers to attack security agents, and dismantle security posts, in the South-eastern part of Nigeria. This resulted in the death of a good number of security agents and destruction of some government establishments. It took the combined efforts of the security agents to apprehend the perpetrators and bring normalcy to the area.

He was allegedly “rearrested” in Kenya through the combined effort of intelligence agencies. He has been arraigned in court and will appear in court on the 26th of July, 2021, for the continuation of his trial.
