Government Has failed In its Constitutional Responsibility: Sen. Shehu Sani.

Senator Shehu Sani has lamented that the government has failed in its constitutional responsibility to protect the lives of the people.

The Senator made this Lamentation while condemning the massacre of over thirty people by terrorists in Sokoto state, despite the presence of security operatives.

The Senator who expressed sadness on the spate of indiscriminate killings in the northern part of Nigeria, stated that the rate of the killings suggest that there is vacuum in leadership.

He further condemned the silence of those who, out of fear or expectation of favour from the those in power, decided to keep quiet while people’s blood are spilled everyday.

“History and posterity will not be kind to those who choose the path of silence out of fear or expectations of favour from those in power while the blood of the people are shed everyday, ” he said.
