Gov. Ifeanyi offers succor to families of the murdered Police officers.
The governor of Enugu State, HE Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the families of the Police officers gruesomely murdered by unknown gunmen at the Police check point in Obeagu-Amaechi, Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The governor, who was in the company of some senior Police officers led by the Assistant Commissiner Of Police in charge of State Criminal Investigation And Intelligence, ACP Fidelis Ogarebe, visited the various homes of the deceased police officers where they met the grieving family members.
Upon consoling the family members, Gov Ugwuanyi announced the succor package which ranges from scholarship to the children of the deceased black men to secondary school level, to automatic employment and cash donations.
At the home of late Inspector Timothy Tion, Gov. Ugwuanyi condoled with the wife and offered her three months salaries of her husband with other cash donations.
In response, the wife of late Inspector Tion, appreciated Gov. Ugwuanyi for his kind gesture and prayed for the repose of his husband’s soul.
