The former governorship aspirant under People’s Democratic Party-PDP and the Umuchukwu-born billionaire, Chief Godwin Mmaduka, has defected to Accord party, after losing in the PDP primary, to advance his political ambitions.

Mmaduka, who during his time with PDP promised to build 21 universities in the 21 local government of the state, lost the primary election to Valentine Ozigbo, and has now flip-flopped to Accord party to contest for the November 6 gubernatorial election in Anambra state.

As it stands, Mmaduka will contend with Ifeanyi Ubah of Young Progressive Party-YPP, Valentine Ozigbo of PDP, Andy Ubah of All Progressive Congress-APC, Obiora Okonkwo of ZLP, Chukwuma Umeoji of APGA, among others for the governorship seat come November 6.
