EPL: Everton Opens Contract Talks With Super Eagles Midfielder
Everton has begun contract negotiations with Super Eagles Midfielder, Alex Iwobi.
The English Coach, Frank Lampard confirmed this in a press conference. The Nigerian International has put on an impressive performance since the start of the season, which includes recently scoring a brilliant goal against Manchester United at Goodison Park. The former Arsenal player has contributed three assists and a goal so far this season and hopes to add to those totals before the end of the English Premier League season. The Nigerian footballer’s contract at Goodison Park will expire next summer, but after putting on an outstanding performance thus far, there are plans to lock him down with a new contract. The 26-year-old who earns 50,000 pounds weekly per Capology will be embracing a top-up on his contract. Everton Boss, Lampard while speaking to reporters confirmed the contract negotiations between the club and the player: “Yeah, I know that Kevin (Thelwell) is speaking with Alex’s people on that front so we’ll see how that one develops”. Lampard’s men will be moving on from United’s defeat when they face Tottenham on Saturday.
