CHRISTIANS CALLED TO RISE IN PRAYERS TO ASSUAGE NIGERIA IN DISTRESS

Countries across the globe are currently going through ups and downs resulting in state of unrest and instabilities, and Nigeria isn’t absolutely an exception.
Consequently, Women Wing Christian Association of Nigeria WOWICAN Anambra State chapter is calling on Nigerians especially Christians to seek God’s intervention in the country’s predicaments through prayers.
The call was made in the week during the Annual Convention and Award Giving Ceremony of the group at the Assembly of God church opposite Army Barracks, Onitsha.
Acknowledging the worrisome state of the nation’s polity, Chairperson WOWICAN Anambra State, Barrister Mrs Mercy Ndubuisi, regretted the rate of which Nigeria trail the route of fears and unrest, attributing it to the state of instability ripping the country apart.
Barr. Mrs Ndubuisi admonishes Christians to resort to prayers and seek God’s divine intervention.
She further advised that in times like this, Christians as well as the general public are expected to be conscientious of their movements and activities in the society.
” As Christians, we believe strongly in the omniscient and omnipotent power of God”.
“The Scripture admonishes that; ” wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom and with all thy getings get understanding”. Prov1:7
” Summarily the exercise of Godly Wisdom is the reverential fear of God and the consistent application of His word in all we do”.
” In times like this, everybody is advised to be mindful of their movements and activities”. Barr. Mrs Ndubuisi said.
On his part, Senior Apostle Dr David Onuoha of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim (ESOCS) church emphasized the exigent need for the practical demonstration of Godly Wisdom In Times like this.
Senior Apostle David who described as regrettable how earthly and satanic wisdom have succeeded in diverting Christians away from exercising Godly Wisdom, called on Christians to retract from evil ways.
” Christians have lost grip of Godly Wisdom in quest for materialism. It is the root cause of the problems in the society today”.
“There’s urgent need for a retract from the evil ways and seek sincerely the wisdom of God”.
He however maintained that in order to be able to win the troubles and tribulations of life here on Earth, what the society needs in times like this is Godly Wisdom.
