Breaking: Sir Fred Chukwuelobe Bids Mother Farewell in a Grand Style

Truly, the saying that “when a fire dies, ashes remain to bear witness” was attested to last weekend, Friday, June 4, 2021, as Sir Fred Chukwuelobe bade farewell to his mother, Mrs. Helen Nonyelum Chukwuelobe (Agunma) Nee Okagbue Abana, at her country home Adazi-Nnukwu in Anaocha L.G.A. of Anambra State.

Mrs. Nonyelum Chukwuelobe (Agunma) transited onto glory at the age of 80 after a brief ailment.

De Erudite Media Team who witnessed the ceremony reported that dignitaries including the former governor of Anambra State and the PDP Vice Presidential candidate in the last presidential election Mr. Peter Obi, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Royal Fathers, knights of the Church as well as other prime personalities from within and across the state paid tribute to the late Agunma.

In the requiem mass officiated by His Lordship Most Reverend Dr Jonas-benson Okoye, the Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese, the Bishop admonished the family and relatives of late Mrs Nonyelum Chukwuelobe to emulate the epitome of good life she led while urging them to be consoled as the soul of a good person lies in the hands of God.

“We all in one way or another witnessed the kind of life led by late Mrs. Nonyelum Chukwuelobe (Agunma) through her devoted and comported nature and selfless services for the church and people who were opportune to come in contact with her”.

“As believers, we are not expected to weep hopelessly, because the soul of a good person lies in the hands of God.

“Our concern therefore, is on the life-after and not the intricacies coupled with the vicissitudes of life here on Earth”.

“May the soul of late Mrs Nonyelum Chukwuelobe and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace”.

Meanwhile, describing late Mrs Nonyelum Chukwuelobe (Agunma) as a woman of virtues, Sir. Fred Chukwuelobe (Son) maintained that Agunma led a fulfilled life.

He therefore, appreciated the massive presence of friends and well-wishers and prayed for divine protection.

Funeral Mass, condolences and music display formed the major highlights of the event.
