Breaking News: Court Sacks Chief Victor Umeh As Senate Flag Bearer of Labour Party, Anambra Central

The Federal High Court has today, allegedly disqualified Chief Victor Umeh from contesting as a candidate of the Labour party for the Anambra central senatorial District in the upcoming general election.

The court agreed that Umeh violated the electoral act for standing for election in the same Constituency for two different political parties.

Recall that Chief Umeh who contested and lost in APGA defected to the Labour party where he was nominated as the party’s senatorial candidate.

Consequent to the judgment, the Labour party has no candidate in Anambra central senatorial District.
