Breaking: Governor Otti Sacks 7,000 Abia Civil Servants

Abia state Governor Dr. Alex Otti has confirmed that he has so far sacked 7,000 civil servants and discovered 2,300 ghost workers from Abia civil service.

The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, disclosed this during a press conference at the Government House Umuahia after the State Executive Council meeting.

He stated that about 7,000 workers employed by the outgone administration between January and March 2023 had been removed from the State’s payroll and added that about N600 million has so far been saved.
