Breaking: Dignitaries troupe out en mass to pay last respect as Family, friends and Anambra State mourn as Obi’s mother is laid to rest (photos)

It was a celebration of life and legacy as the remains of late Mrs Clementina Ekwutosi Obi were laid to rest in her husband’s compound at Odidama village, Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra state.

The burial ceremony attracted family members, business associates, friends, associates, religious leaders, political appointees and government officials among others.

De Erudite Media gathered that Mrs. Obi who was aged 85 years, was the mother of Mbuze Agulu, Chief Ben Obi, a very popular APGA chieftain and self style Igwe APGA.

In his homily during the burial mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Agulu, the auxiliary Bishop of Enugu Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend Ernest Obobo, described the deceased as a mother figure who trained her Children in high moral standard.

While thanking God for granting late Mrs. Obi longevity, Most Reverend Obobo noted that all humans are on pilgrimage on earth and must one day return to their creator, and therefore charged Christians to strive to live righteous life at all times.

In her Speech, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, ably represented by Anaocha LGA Chairman, Hon. Patrick Estate Onyedum affirmed that the deceased was a faithful Christian till the time of her demise.

In his own comments, Hon. Onyedum stated that Mrs Obi was never old in spite of dying at 85yrs and that she will be sorely missed.

In their separate remarks, the first and last sons, Chief Ben Obi and Mr. Chukwudi obi respectively, spoke glowingly about their mother and prayed God to bless and grant journey mercies to all their guests.

Dignitaries that attended the ceremony include Governor Willie Obiano represented by the State Secretary General, Sir Solo Chukwulobe, Wife of Governor, Her Excellency Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano ably represented by Anaocha LGA Chairman, Hon. Patrick Estate Onyedum, Commissioner of Justice & Attorney General of Anambra State , Barr. Mrs Uju Nwogu, APGA Governorship Aspirant for the November 2021 election, Prof. Charles Soludo etc.
