Birthing a new Anambra through Obiora Okonkwo.

Antecedents, can oftentimes, be the binoculars through which one views the future. It often helps one to predict what will be. Looking at the history and past achievements of Dr. Obiora Okonkwo, one can confidently aver that a new Anambra is in the embryo.

Born on December 5, 1965, to the Okonkwo family in Ogidi, Obiora has risen to become synonymous with excellence in the academic and business sphere.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Political Science (with distinction), from the Russian Academy of Science, Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Moscow; a Professional Fellowship Doctorate, from the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria; and Fellowship of the Institute of Chartered Arbitrators and Mediators of Nigeria. He earned a Master of Science Degree in Economics, also, with distinction, from the Russian Peoples Friendship University, Moscow, and a First Class in Economics from the Russian Peoples Friendship University, also, in Moscow.

He is also the Chairman of Solicom Engineering, Gistme Communications, Sagemetrics, and CareerNation and also United Airlines, among others.

Owing to his unparallel and unflinching support for culture and community development, he was crowned “Dikeora”- the people’s man of valour.

Recently, he declared interest to run for the governorship position in Anambra state under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). This suddenly brought smiles to the faces of Ndi Anambra who had been in a continual search for who will take Anambra State to a greater height.

As PDP’s date for primary election edges closer, it is the hope of every well-meaning Ndi Anambra that he would emerge victoriously and subsequently take over the mantle of leadership in the state where he will replicate his academic and business excellence.

He has the will. Ndi Anambra owes him the way.
