Association Of Past President Generals Holds meeting, Welcome Governorship Candidates.
The Association Of Past President Generals Anambra State chapter, on Thursday, held a meeting and welcomed two Anambra state governorship aspirants.
The meeting which was held in a hotel in Awka had in attendance about seventy past President Generals draw from the communities in Anambra state.
In the meeting, the association also welcome Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, the governorship aspirant under the platform of People’s Democratic Party-PDP and Godwin Maduka who’s also vying under Accord Party, who both presented their respective manifestos and pleaded for supports.
In their response, the organization through its president promised to lend their supports, however, stated that they do not endorse any political Candidate.
It’s worth recalling that the Umbrella body of the organization within the South-Eastern enclave, South East Association of past president generals, had on January 15 endorsed Prof Justice Peter Umeadi and threw their weight against his presidential ambition.
Prof Peter Umeadi, a refined academician and a visionary having felt bad by the level of misgovernance apparent in the current system opted to vie for presidency under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance-APGA.
His decision to vie for the presidency came as a relief to Nigerians who have been yearning for a visionary leader who will put the country on the right track. This may also explain his endorsement by the Association Of Past President Generals in Anambra state.
