Anti-Corruption Network Expresses Concern Over EFCC’s Reluctance To Probe Yahaya Bello.
A reputable organization dedicated to unravelling corrupt officials and eradicating corruption from the Nigerian system, Anti-Corruption Network, has expressed shock over of the delay of Economic And Financial Crime Commission- EFCC to probe the governor of Kogi state, HE Yahaya Bello, months after petition against him was received by the commission.
The group, in a letter dated July 19, 2021, reminded the commission of the petition submitted on the 16th February, 2021, against the governor and his officials, in which they were indicted for huge financial fraud between 2016 to 2019, which was also adopted on March 31, 2021.
They also expressed shock and sadness on the commission’s reluctance to swing into action and bring him to book.
While reminding the commission of the promise it made to millions of Nigerians, they also pleaded with it not to affirm the rumour that it is a toothless bulldog.
