In-depth research has shown that the consistent inability of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, to take over the governorship position of Anambra state over the years were basically a result of the party going contrary to the choice of the people in terms of candidates selection.

However, this time around, with the emergency of Dr Obiora Okonkwo and obvious support by a large bloc of PDP members, it seems like the People’s Democratic Party PDP, is about to make a conscientious effort towards the correction of this loophole in strategic planning towards the state’s gubernatorial race over the years.

It is time to embrace a golden retriever of the lost opportunities for the party by giving its ticket to Dr. Obiora Okonkwo, who is obviously the people’s choice.

Recall that the personality of a party candidate matters more than the divisive efforts of the party.

Dr. Obiora Okonkwo has successfully written his name in the hearts of Ndi Anambra, which would give him the upper hand and chances over the other contenders from within and outside the People’s Democratic Party in the state.

Dr Obiora Okonkwo is the people’s choice, hence, PDP should make him its choice to change the hitherto inglorious narrative and negative changes through him.
