The celebration of independence is something that every nation that experienced colonization and domination by a foreign nation doesn’t joke with. It’s an occasion in which they look back to where they were before and take stock of where they have reached presently. It’s a time to celebrate their freedom and glory in their achievements as a sovereign nation.
In the light of this trend, the republic of Burundi, a country in East Africa is celebrating theirs today and the Nigerian Government through the Ambassador of Nigeria to Burundi has wished them well and reiterated once again the readiness of Nigeria to partner with their country at all times for common good of both nations.
Below is the full transcript of the goodwill message of the Nigerian Ambassador to Burundi Amb. Elijah Onyeagba PhD on behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
