Opinion: By Chinazom Hyginus

Prof Peter N. C. Umeadi is Emeritus Chief Judge of Anambra State and a member of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA Ward 1, Nri of Anambra State. He officially joined politics in the year 2019 with the passion for an urgent transformation of the nation’s polity.

Prof. Umeadi’s vast experiences in the leadership and management of both human and natural resources, observed crystal clear the various challenges confronting Nigeria, and the ways forward towards proffering lasting panaceas, in order to quickly reinject the spirit of one United Nigeria.

The life Bencher, Prof Umeadi, who was recently paid a courtesy visit by a leading non-political organization in the Southeast region, Odimma Anambra Forum/Foundation, led by the founder and chairman, Amb. Celestine Ugochukwu Anadi (Ezeugo), received total endorsement by the group, after declaring his burning intention to secure the presidential ticket for the 2023 election, under the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance – APGA.

The presidential aspirant in a two paged address presented to the Central Executive Council Members of Odimma Anambra Forum at his Country home, Agukwu Nri, advocates for one United Nigeria. He therefore, averred that the news making round that the North posited their readiness for restructuring of the country but would not succumb to any blackmail of rotating power with the south, and the clamouring for disintegration, are not what the country required at the moment but, one United Nigeria.

Thus, for the continuity of one United Nigeria, and justice for all, Prof Umeadi have put to mind; the need for free and fair elections, where the citizens are allowed to vote according to their conscience, the exigency to putting the predominant historical points into the inclusive and not exclusive list, and to jettison the winner take all mentality, which prior this day has been a recipe for trouble.

To achieve the above objectives, Prof Peter Umeadi’s wide consultations to fashion a new political structure across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria has inaugurated Coordinators from the six states in the Southwest geopolitical zone, comprising of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo and Osun states.
Prof Peter Umeadi’s aspiration to reposition Nigeria in 4 years is predicated on popular votes at the polls from a majority of Nigerians, whereby valid votes count.

He believes in justice for all, as well as a level political playground in Nigeria.
Thus, a new Nigeria is possible with Prof. Justice Peter Umeadi.
