Reactions as INEC excludes Soludo and Ozigbo From Anambra Guber.

The Independent National Electoral Commission-INEC has released the names of candidates eligible to participate in the November 6 gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

Shockingly, Charles Soludo, who emerged the winner in the Victor Oye led faction of APGA primary was absent in the list.

Also, Val Ozigbo who supposedly emerged winner in PDP primary was equally absent in the list.

While Soludo was replaced with Chuma Umeoji, who was declared winner in the Jude Okeke led faction of APGA, PDP’s slot was blank.

Ifeanyi Ubah and Andy Ubah were also shortlisted for Young Progressive Party- YPP and All Progressive Congress- APC respectively.

According to INEC, a total number of 18 political parties were registered for the election. Also, a total number of 18 candidates were shortlisted. While the males are 15, the females are 3.

While reacting to this development, DeErudite communication gathered that a good number of Anambra citizens expressed disapproval which was evident in the view that it was a calculated attempt to impose an APC leader in the state against the will of the people.

As at time of filing this report, neither Soludo nor Ozigbo has said anything concerning the development.
