APC suspends Okorocha; gives reason.

All Progressive Congress- APC has suspend the former Governor of Imo state and also a serving Senator, Rochas Anayo Okorocha for reasons that border on discipline.

The Party, after reviewing the recommendation of the Imo State APC Disciplinary Committee established to look into allegations of gross anti-party activities against him, ratified the suspension.

In an eight-paragraphed letter that dates 12th July, 2021, which was duly signed by Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, the National Secretary of the party And His Excellency Mai Malu Bunu, National Chairman, CECPC, the reasons for Okorocha’s suspension hinge on gross misconduct which reflects on his continuous discreet meetings with the opposition party both at the state and national level, working in opposition to the APC-led government in Imo state and also for his outstanding disciplinary issues with the party at the state level.

While reminding him of the Party’s commitment to the sustenance of democracy, virtue and integrity, it pledges to communicate any further change in his member status.

“The National Working Commission (NWC) shall communicate any further change on your membership status of the party”, it said.
