A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Femi Falana has called on Nigerian youths to vote for competent and capable leaders in the 2023 general election.
According to him, the struggle to rescue Nigeria from its current situation won’t be a reality if dedicated Nigerians don’t take their political destinies into their hands. Naija News reports that the human rights lawyer said it’s unfortunate that the country is in this situation because it’s being governed by politicians who don’t have principles and character. Fala, who spoke at the 4th convocation of Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Lagos State, noted that one of Nigeria’s problems is bad leadership, hence Nigerian youths should vote for leaders with competence and capability in 2023 to pull out the nation from its woes. In his lecture titled: “Remaking Nigeria: The Youth as Change-Agents”, Falana said for Nigeria to survive and be useful to its citizens, Africa and humanity, the nation needed to be remade. The Vice Chancellor of Augustine University Prof. Christopher Odetunde told the graduating students that they should be solution providers and be frontlines in the transformative steps to restore the nation.
