2023: Oyetola Promises Tinubu One Million Votes From Osun

The Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has promised to deliver one million votes to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu in the 2023 general election.

Oyetola, who was shocked at the massive turnout of youths who had a walk in Osogbo today to canvass for votes for APC’s presidential aspirant, said he was sure that the APC candidate would run a youth-friendly administration if elected. The governor remarked that he was sure over one million votes will emerge for Tinubu in Osun state because the state’s campaigns will be youth-driven. While welcoming the APC youths who partook in the walk tagged ‘Osun Youth March for Tinubu/Shettima 2023’, in his campaign office in Osogbo, he said he was impressed with the youth at their turnout even though the campaign is yet to start. The Osun APC youth leader, Goke Akinwemimo, who led the march in response assured Oyetola that the group would mobilise one million votes for Tinubu in the 2023 poll, adding that members of the party should work hard for the actualisation of the project. Oyetola said, “I want to commend the leadership of the supporters of Tinubu. Your demonstration today has given me assurance that Osun is for APC in 2023. There is no shaking for us at all. The government of Asiwaju (Tinubu) is the government of the youth. He is here to serve Nigerians. He has plans for education, agriculture, infrastructure, social development and many more. You will be surprised by the way he will tackle insecurity. “I am certain that over one million votes are assured for Tinubu in Osun. Our campaigns will be youth oriented.”
